Auto Launch Program

What is the Auto-Launch Program?

For service providers that host multiple financial institutions on the same server architecture, continuous testing with Intuit results in redundancy, significant amount of time to launch new financial institutions and increases the overall cost associated with implementations.

Due to this, Intuit has created a program allowing qualified platforms, managed by service providers, to be placed on “auto-launch” status removing the on-going testing requirement for each financial institution.

The Auto-Launch approval process is made up of three specific phases that must be passed to gain Auto-Launch Authorization:

Phase I – Pre-Qualification
During the pre-qualification phase, Intuit will review the OFX system architecture and determine if you meet the requirements to be an Auto-Launch Authorized Service Provider. This phase consists of completing the Auto-Launch Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and attending a follow up conference call to discuss the information within the questionnaire. Within 3 business days after the conference call, Intuit will notify you if you are eligible to continue towards becoming an Auto-Launch Authorized Service Provider.
Phase II – Testing

If you meet the requirements to be an Auto-Launch Authorized Service Provider, you will be required to successfully complete the implementation process with a minimum of 2 financial institutions.

An implementation will consist of completing the following:

Setting up a test profile for each financial institution in our test branding environment.
Completing Server Quality Assurance (SQA) - (if implementing Direct Connect)
Server Quality Assurance (SQA) - Script based testing required by Intuit prior to a production deployment of a financial institution into the Quicken, Quicken for Mac or QuickBooks products. This type of testing applies only to institutions supporting the Direct Connect connectivity method.
Completing Financial Institution Acceptance Testing (FIAT)
Financial Institution Acceptance Testing (FIAT) – Product based testing required by Intuit prior to a production deployment of a financial institution into the Quicken, Quicken for Mac or QuickBooks Products. This type of testing applies to financial institutions supporting the Web Connect and/or Direct Connect connectivity method.
The expectation is that any issues found during testing for the first financial institution (SQA and/or FIAT) will be resolved and the fix propagated to future implementations so it will not appear in the testing of the second FI.

Phase III – Evaluation
After you have tested 2 FIs, Intuit will perform an evaluation of the testing results and determine if you are Auto-Launch Authorized or if further testing is required. This will depend on if any critical/high severity or launch blocking issues are found during testing as well as the process to correct any issues found. If critical/high severity or launch blocking issues are found during the 2nd financial institution, a 3rd institution will be required to complete the implementation process. This process will continue until a financial institution completes the implementation process without critical/high severity or launch blocking issues present.

Please Note: If you are approved for auto-launch, you are only approved for the products, functionality and connectivity type (Web Connect or Direct Connect) tested. This process must be repeated if new functionality, a new connectivity type or a new product is added in the future.

Next Steps
If you would like to pursue Auto-Launch Authorization, please contact your OFX Connectivity Account Manager. If you do not have an Account Manager or do not know who this is, please contact us .
