Direct Connect Implementation Steps
Financial Institution Acceptance Testing (FIAT).
During FIAT, Intuit will be testing all client side functions that interact with the OFX Server/System and that are supported by your implementation. Statements will be downloaded, transfers will be created (including ones that generate insufficient/invalid fund conditions), email, payments and recurring payments will be generated, etc. As each round of FIAT is completed, an Issue Report will be generated and sent to the Financial Institution and/or Service Provider.
Complete and return the Intuit FIAT Direct Connect Questionnaire to your Implementation Manager.
This questionnaire is designed to ensure the Intuit FIAT team has all the information required to fully validate the end-to-end functionality of your system.
When the Intuit FIAT Questionnaire has been returned to Intuit and validated for completeness, the FIAT Phase may begin.
Please allow at least 3-4 weeks in your project plan for OFX Banking/Credit Card implementations and at least 6 weeks for implementations involving OFX Bill Payment/Investments.
It is important to note that little of the time referenced above is time when Intuit is directly testing. Initial FIAT results are generally available 4-6 business days after we receive the test accounts and all required data.
OFX Bill Payment implementations require a longer testing cycle so that payments can be delivered as well as to allow recurring payment models to age and generate additional payments.
